Getting to Nelson: Nelson has an airport and has flights
to and from most other major New Zealand centres. Visitors
can arrive by sea from the Wellington area of the North
Island, arriving in either Picton(100 km away from Nelson)
or direct into Nelson. A ferry direct in to Nelson takes
about 8 or 9 hours from Wellington. The other option is by
road from Christchurch, which would be about 5 hours
drive. Nelson isn't the easiest place to visit in
New Zealand, but well worth it. |
